To sleep suggestions?

What are the best medicines for sleep / drug out there and with less risk of dependence (which have a tendency to engage in addictive drugs). I have 16 years, and I'm under extremely stressful circumstances, so the day after that I have not slept I can not concentrate, I'm nervous and emotional wreck. Any help would be greatly appiciated!
