What will we not be able to live without the first 6 months to a year with a new baby? I know all kids and situations are different but I want to be practical when I register. Some stuff we are getting as hand me downs from family. Here is the stuff we aren't getting and that I was going to register for:
Travel system (stroller and Newborn car seat)
high chair
breast pump, cream, nursing pads, bags for freezing
swaddle blankets- the ones that have velcro
sleep blankets- the ones that zip but are loose for moving around
Bassinet sheets
crib bedding set
Onesies 0-3 months, 3-6 months
one piece sleepers that zip not button (easier at 3 AM)
bottles
pacifiers
first aid kit
grooming kit
bath gift set
digital thermometer
baby monitor
baby gate
diapers
wipes
diaper genie
What am I missing that I will really need?
We already have a crib, bassinet, bouncer, swing, play mat, pack n play, and tons of clotes.
Will you have enough crib mattress covers and sheets, as well as bassinet ones? I made sure to have a couple waterproof mattress pads and lots of extra sheets too, so you can change them easily at night if needed and have enough to carry you over until you can do the laundry. Other than what you already have listed, the only extra things I can think of are bath towels and washcloths, changing pads, and also larger size onesies.
