Should I Take My Band-Aid Off At Night?
I've read different things about this and I want to know...
I have a two "wounds".... one on my hand and the other just below my knee. Both happenned today when I tripped while running.
The one on my hand got skin torn off and when you touch it it is slimy and tender.
The one on my knee got a little skin torn off too but to be honest I can't really even tell that there is a big gash thingy right there because it doesn't really hurt. Only the one on my hand bothers me and I want to know if I should take the band-aids off while sleeping tonight.
Short answer, yes to removing both.
If you're concerned about the wound on your hand staining the sheets, give it about 20 minutes with no bandage and it should clot well enough that you can sleep without covering it back up.
