Anyone have any suggestions for insomnia?
I've tried melatonin, valerian root, and a variety of tea's. Occasionally I'll use an over the counter sleep aid if I've had multiple nights of sleeplessness in a week. I keep a good sleep schedule. I work out at the gym multiple times a week. I don't want to use a prescription medication because I tend to be sensitive to most medications (strong reaction). The rare times I do use the OTC sleep aids I only take a half dose.
Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me sleep better?
I've tried up to 10mg Melatonin.
No prescription suggestions please.
To deal with Insomnia is to deal with lifestyle rather than any drugs or OTC products .
1] Do not drink any caffeinated drinks after lunch time .
2] Do exercise a little bit in the evening . Research have seen if we do not exercise enough chances are very high that we would not sleep well.
3] Do not read any tragic , mind boggling novel or some love stroy noevl that would make you think the whole night
4] When its time to sleep have a nice bath if possible with nice warm water , if possible lavender would help u a lot .
5] Drink hot milk with pinch of nutmeg {a good natural sleeping agent} , cardamom and sugar .This will make you relax and sleep
6] When you lie on the bed , just try to keep your eyes close and fouc on your breathe and be in the present . Slowly you have to fall asleep .
Do not give it up ... takes time I knwo that , but do not give it up .
